Download your board's parts as separate PNG images for a workflow that needs individual files. Learn which items stay together, which become letters or tiles, and what the extra layout file means for curved lettering.

1. Choose Asset Bundle for individual image files
Export Asset Bundle is available on the Seller plan. Use it when your next step needs separate pictures of letters, decorations, labels, or repeating artwork, rather than a single picture of the finished board.
The PNGs contain the rendered artwork. Text formatting, fills, outlines, and shadows become part of the image; they are not separate controls in the receiving application. An SVG shape also exports as a PNG image.
For arranged printer sheets to cut and assemble, follow Print, Cut, and Assemble Your Board with Print Pack.
For one picture or document of the whole composition, choose Save as Image (PNG) or Save as Document (PDF).
For someone to customize the design inside BoardCraft, use Share a Board as a Cloneable Template.
See Which BoardCraft Export Should I Use? for the full comparison.
2. Prepare the board's visible items
The bundle includes visible, exportable items that intersect the board. Selecting one item does not limit the download to that selection. Hide unwanted layers before exporting, and show them again afterward if they belong in the saved design.

Check wording, wrapping, fills, and effects before downloading.
Show everything you need and move fully off-board items onto the canvas.
Group items that should become one composed image. Keep them separate when you need separate files.
Use meaningful layer names to help identify the exported files.
Finish text editing and save. Resolve any editing conflict before exporting.
The board background and empty canvas space do not become a full-board backdrop in this bundle.
3. Download and extract the ZIP
Open Export in the editor toolbar. In the compact toolbar, open Export & Share and choose Export.
Select Export Asset Bundle. Check that the download button changes to Download Asset ZIP.
Start the download. Keep BoardCraft open while Preparing your files runs and wait for the ZIP.
Extract the archive. Use your device's unzip or extract command, then open the extracted folder.
Review the contents. Preview representative PNGs and keep any JSON file with the images it describes.
The filename uses the board title and ends in _assets.zip. Asset Bundle has no Letter or A4 setting: those choices belong to Print Pack. Its PNGs are separate images, not paper-sized PDF sheets.
4. Understand why the file count differs from the layer count
Board item | Bundle result |
|---|---|
Decorative text | A PNG for each non-space character. Curved or warped lettering can also add a JSON layout file. |
Word Builder | Separate PNGs of its rendered letters. |
Regular text | One composed PNG of the text box. |
Clipart, uploads, and shapes | Separate PNG artwork for each item. |
Groups, name tags, and Face Inserts | Composed PNGs that keep their contents together. |
Repeating banners and custom repeating borders | Their unique tile artwork, rather than a file for every visible repeat. |

5. Keep a label or complete title together
Regular text exports as a composed text box, so its paragraphs, line breaks, lists, and formatting stay together in one image. You can place that PNG elsewhere, but its wording is no longer editable as text in the image.
For a design made from several items, select the parts and choose Group Selected. For example, group a curved Decorative title with a subtitle when you want the entire arrangement as one PNG. See Select, Arrange, and Manage Elements for grouping controls.

The grouped example's bundle contains three PNGs: one group and the two border tiles. It includes the border even though the group was selected during export.
6. Recognize the curved-text layout file
An ungrouped curved or warped Decorative text item still exports individual letters. Its bundle can also contain a file ending in _curve-manifest.json, which describes how those letters form the curved layout.

In the verified curved-title example, the JSON records the wording, curve preset, and each letter's filename, character, position, dimensions, rotation, and scale. Adding the Regular text subtitle produces 16 PNGs and one JSON file.
A straight Decorative text item can export only PNGs. A group containing curved text exports its composed image rather than a separate character manifest.
7. Inspect the images in your next application
Import the required PNGs from the extracted folder. Check orientation, edge quality, fills, and effects against the BoardCraft design. Arrange separate items in the receiving application; a numbered filename is not a saved canvas position.
Inspect each image's pixel dimensions for the size you intend to use. Different letters and items can have different image dimensions. Editor zoom does not set export resolution, and another application may place an imported PNG at a different physical size. Set its dimensions there before printing.
8. Resolve unexpected bundle results
If you see this | Check this |
|---|---|
Asset Bundle is unavailable | Check that the signed-in account has Seller access. Read any access message shown by the export dialog. |
Many files from one title | Decorative text and Word Builder separate letters. Use a group for a composed title image. |
Fewer tile files than visible repeats | Repeating items export their unique tile artwork for reuse. |
One image instead of separate group contents | The group is composed. Ungroup it in BoardCraft before exporting when you need the contents separately. |
An item is missing | Check hidden layers, fully off-board placement, and the latest saved edits. |
The bundle has no editable wording or vector paths | Its assets are PNG images. Use the BoardCraft design or a cloneable template for editing inside BoardCraft. |
No exportable elements or another error appears | Confirm there is visible artwork on the board and read the error before retrying. Resolve save conflicts first. |
