Choose a picture of the whole board, a complete-board print document, pages of cut-out pieces, or separate image assets. The right export depends on what you want to do after downloading.

1. Compare the four exports

PNG and board PDF preserve the composition. Print Pack reorganizes pieces onto paper. Asset Bundle gives you the parts as separate files. Choose the result before considering file type alone: both board PDF and Print Pack contain PDFs, but they serve different printing jobs.
2. Choose PNG for a complete-board image
Save as Image (PNG) creates one image of the finished composition. Use it for a projector or classroom screen, a design preview, a thumbnail, or a service that asks for an image file.
The exported image follows the board's dimensions and proportions. The Print Pack paper-size choice does not turn it into Letter or A4 pages. Zooming the editor also does not change the board's design size.
If a print provider requests PNG, confirm the required image dimensions and print size with them. For cutting individual decorations, use Print Pack instead.
3. Choose board PDF for the whole layout
Save as Document (PDF) creates a document of the complete board at its physical dimensions. Use it when a print provider wants a PDF, or when you want to keep the composition together in a print document.
BoardCraft exports at up to 300 DPI depending on the board's size. The result is not guaranteed to use the same raster resolution for every board size, so review the downloaded file before a large print run.
4. Choose Print Pack for cutting and assembly
Export for Printing downloads a Print Pack ZIP. Choose it when you will print the lettering and decorations, cut them out, and assemble the display on a wall or bulletin board.
Select US Letter or A4 under Print paper size, then choose Download Print Pack. Unzip the download to access its PDFs.
Decorative text and Word Builder lettering can be prepared as individual characters.
Regular text boxes and groups are kept as composed pieces rather than split into individual text characters.
Small pieces can be packed and rotated to use the sheet space.
Oversized pieces can be tiled across several pages at their intended physical size.
Repeating banner and border artwork is prepared as printable repeated pieces.
The base PDF uses your selected paper size. When oversized pieces can fit whole on larger paper, the ZIP can also include a companion complete-tabloid.pdf for Letter or complete-a3.pdf for A4. These are alternatives for suitable pieces; they are not a full-board layout. Check the file's paper size before printing it.

5. Choose Asset Bundle for separate image files
Export Asset Bundle is available on the Seller plan. Select it and choose Download Asset ZIP, then unzip the download to access the PNG assets.
Decorative text can produce separate character images; Regular text boxes and groups remain composed images. Repeating artwork can produce its unique tile assets rather than every visible repeat. Curved or warped Decorative text can also include a JSON layout manifest describing character placement.
The Reading Display Practice bundle contains 18 PNGs: 17 title characters and one open-book image. Print Pack arranges pieces on printable sheets. Asset Bundle provides the pieces as separate files.
The PNGs are image assets. If you want another person to open and customize the board inside BoardCraft, use Share a Board as a Cloneable Template.
6. Check board size, paper size, and visibility

Use Fit to screen to review the full board. Then inspect corners, text, and anything near an edge. Review oversized-item warnings and remove unintended off-board content before downloading.
7. Finish the export and check the result
Finish edits and save. Wait for the save to finish. With interval auto-save off, the toolbar may show a disabled Save button after saving. Resolve any editing conflict before exporting.
Choose the mode. Check the download button and, for Print Pack, the selected paper size.
Start the download. Watch Preparing your files and keep BoardCraft open while it works.
Inspect the result. Open the image or PDF, or unzip a pack and review its files before printing or using them elsewhere.
If an export is accepted as a server job and you navigate away, BoardCraft can track it and offer its download when ready. Keep the editor open until the download starts if the export is still being prepared there.
